Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct procedural tests on production product, including incoming material, needed to support customer need date
• Responsible for understanding use of all test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures
• Verify equipment calibration is compliant
• Identify and communicate errors in procedures, drawings, bills of material, and routers to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering)
• Responsible for timely completion of documentation
• Responsible for accurate, timely entry of data into the ERP system
• Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanship
• Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Communicating special tooling needed to perform operation
• Oral/Written Communication – Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Records data
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to apply common sense in performing job
• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals
• Ability to use basic high school math skills
• Two year technician degree or equivalent
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience handling fiber optic related product is preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice to support the needs of the business
• Ability to use test equipment needed to perform tasks. (Megohmmeters)
• Ability to use optical test equipment
• Able to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Computer Literate; Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook

• Six Sigma Overview Lean Manufacturing Overview
• Hazardous Communications
• Quality Systems
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Daily computer usage
• Repetitive motions
Work Environment:
• Production Floor Environment
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Safety Glasses required at all times
• Steel Tip Safety Shoes
