    The Opportunity:

    CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Watch Officer to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.

     

    The JDOC Senior Watch Officer leads all Watch Operations and oversees 24/7 real-time network operations, cybersecurity incidents, and critical IT service disruptions to ensure mission continuity. They coordinate response efforts, provide situational awareness to leadership, and manage operational workflows to enhance security posture and resilience while formulating and deploying CSSP functional capabilities, and ensuring Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA). This role will play a crucial part in ensuring total visibility of all missions and changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services 2 (SCITES 2).

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead and manage the watch operations team during assigned shifts, ensuring 24/7 continuous monitoring of DoDIN operations and protection of operational networks

    + Serve as shift lead for the 24/7 Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) watch in support of the Joint DoDIN Operations Center (JDOC), Train and mentor junior watch officers, ensuring they are proficient in their roles

    + Monitor and analyze alerts, warnings, and indicators to identify anomalous/malicious cybersecurity eventsCoordinate and oversee incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution; Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and other documentation as required

    + Maintain situational awareness of all security events and incidents, providing updates and briefings to senior management, assess external and internal cybersecurity events, formulating and deploying CSSP functional Capabilities

    + Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for watch operations

    + Conduct regular shift briefings and debriefings to ensure smooth handover between shifts

    + Oversee and manage a team of watch officers and analysts, coordinate with systems and network administrators to protect, monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to cybersecurity events, train and mentor junior watch officers, ensuring they are proficient in their roles

    Qualifications:

    _Required:_

    + US Citizen with active Secret security clearance

    + Bachelor's degree (BS) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field

    + 7+ years of related work experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on managing IT or cybersecurity projects

    + ITIL v4 Foundation certification

    + Ability to function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle

    + Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)

    + All relevant 8140 certifications

    _Desired:_

    + Experience working within DoD or Federal government environments and familiarity with DoD project management practices, cybersecurity policies, and RMF

    + Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. Knowledge of IT service management concepts (e.g., ITIL) is beneficial (KSAT 1133).

    + Solid understanding of computer networking concepts, cybersecurity principles, and risk management processes (KSAT 22, 1158, 108).

    + Experience with requirements analysis and stakeholder management (KSAT 16, 5010).

    + Experience in a large, distributedIT enterprise

    + Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and principles

    The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $90,300-$189,600
