    Our client, a leader in the payroll services industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be part of the finance department supporting the payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully with the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Payroll Specialist

    **Location:** Iron Mountain, MI (Hybrid: M-Wed in office, Th/Fri Remote)

    **Pay Range:** $25-$27/hr

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Process weekly payroll for over 600 union employees.

    + Create upload files for retirement plan and HSA contributions.

    + Perform accurate and timely entry of job, salary, and personal data.

    + Maintain and update multiple Excel workbooks used in payroll processing.

    + Analyze and resolve data discrepancies between the payroll database and employee inquiries.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Associate degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

    + 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably with end-to-end processing.

    + Strong Microsoft Office skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Integrity and trustworthiness regarding confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
