The Lead Platform Support Engineer that will support our Information Reporting technology under Global Payments and Liquidity Technology (GPLT). This role will focus on Level 2 application production support and engineering for the Information Reporting and Desktop Deposit space.
In this role, you will:
+ Work with vendors or other technical personnel for problem resolution
+ Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
+ Act independently as a liaison for the line of business in support of daily inquiries, problem and incident management, project delivery, and escalations by following established guidebooks
+ Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
+ Recommend solutions to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by automating platform activities to lower human intervention time on related tasks
+ Facilitate discussions on preventative action, root cause analysis and resolutions with service management
+ Provide training and mentoring to lower experienced team members on guidebook changes and lead team to meet technical deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
+ Collaborate with development teams to update business continuity plans and provide input on development of new and existing support guidebooks
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ 4+ years Strong experience in using industry standard monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK, APM, Grafana, Prometheus)
+ 4+ years Advanced understanding of application monitoring stack (Logs, Metrics, Events, Traces, Alerts) and ability to visualize and setup end to end observability (Infra and App components)
+ 4+ years Change Management, Incident Resolution, with hands on experience with the enterprise tool Service Now
+ 4+ years Linux experience
+ Proficient in one of the programming Languages (Java and Python)
+ Hands on experience in Ansible, Python, Shell Scripting
+ Database experience - hands on in Oracle SQL, Pl/SQL, Mongo DB
+ Communicates frequently with stakeholders, escalates impediments, helps manage risk, and drives relentless improvement
+ Partners with the product manager to support product delivery with an agile, product, and modern-engineering mindset. Champions these mindsets to enable the delivery of customer-centric products
+ Serves as a coach to those across product lines and upward, ensuring clarity in the behaviors and practices required to successfully implement the product operating model
+ Fosters collaboration, mentors team members, and drives continuous improvement
Job Expectations:
+ Ability to work on-call as assigned
+ Position will require ability to work on-site at posted location
