As a Principal Solutions Architect for AWS Networking Services, you will forge deep technical relationships with customers of all sizes, acting as their trusted advisor. With a comprehensive understanding of IT landscapes, you’ll influence CXOs and drive strategic adoption of networking services. In this role, you’ll think big, set technical direction, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful results to grow customer adoption and exceed expectations. You’ll uncover business and revenue opportunities by collaborating with development and product management teams to enable cutting-edge networking solutions. You’ll own the technical relationship with customers, providing expert recommendations on security, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency to accelerate their mission-critical projects using services like Transit Gateway, ELB, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, and PrivateLink. Internally, you’ll champion the customer’s voice, shaping the roadmap for AWS networking features based on their needs. Your creativity will craft tangible solutions, defining reference architectures for diverse use cases across industries. You’ll lead the development and dissemination of best practices, technical content (e.g., white papers, code samples, blog posts), and evangelize AWS networking services through workshops, user groups, meetups, speaking engagements, videos, or conferences. AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
