About the role
_The Capital Project Management Leader is responsible for overseeing all Capital projects at the Site. It is accountable for cost control, capital governance and project execution of the overall capital portfolio. Interacts with internal business partners to establish and define requirements for assigned facility, utility, packaging, and manufacturing projects. Oversee development of conceptual designs, preliminary budgets, and schedules for assigned business areas. Assists project managers with the preparation of ePIP’s for assigned business area_
Role Responsibilities
+ _Develops and directs overall site master plan capital strategies, provides leadership to site capital portfolios (Baseline & Strategic) for developing tactical plans for implementation monitor/advise on the execution of activities._
+ _Provides direction in developing, tracking, reporting, and reacting to appropriate metrics for measuring and improving success of strategies based on individual sites changing business drivers._
+ _Provides leadership to the implementation teams to ensure colleague engagement in a change environment._
+ _Work closely with site leadership to understand site’s direction and respond accordingly to develop Site Master Plan and annual capital plans to support it._
+ _Stay closely connected to Haleon’s global capital management strategies making recommendations for work stream implementations that align themselves with these global strategies._
+ _Provide support to professional development and performance management support of project engineering team direct reports._
+ _Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills._
+ _Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and successful track record of managing capital projects._
+ _Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage to strict production, time and performance deadlines._
+ _Escalates issues to appropriate management levels for prompt resolution._
+ _Manages project engineering section to comply with Haleon Personnel Policies and Procedures:_
+ _Reviews and approves implementation of training programs for project engineering._
+ _Responsible for supporting safety program to insure safe implementation of capital projects._
+ _Approves selection of project managers/engineering personnel._
+ _Reviews and approves disciplinary actions._
+ _Develops and implements development programs for project managers/engineers._
+ _Responsible for the review and approval of the use of outside consultant/contractors for capital projects._
+ _If Managing Direct Reports, the incumbent will be accountable for the Performance Review Cycle per Corporate policies._
+ _The incumbent is a member of the Site Engineering Leadership Team and can act on behalf of the Site Engineering Director, as needed._
_Why you?_
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering
+ Eight (8) years of experience in capital project management
+ Experience and knowledge of Pharmaceutical and GMP in a Manufacturing and Packaging environment
+ Experience in project management, Six Sigma, and data analytic
+ Understanding and demonstrate knowledge of documented quality standards
+ People Management skills and cross functional influencing skills
+ Demonstrate Leadership principles and successful leadership activities
+ Demonstrated problem solving ability
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Has basic general technical knowledge, and specific discipline knowledge. Experience in the following Systems: Compressed Air, Steam Generation & Distribution, Chillers, Chilled Water Distribution, Cooling Towers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Dust Collectors; Electrical Systems & Distribution.
+ Have good verbal and written skills. Can articulate issues and solutions to the team. Can produce effective project reports and presentations.
+ Can effectively interact and collaborate with team members. Demonstrates respect for others. Encourages team participation.
+ Capable of simultaneously managing multiple assignments. Organizes daily activities to assure timely completion of assignments. Flexible and responsive to changes.
+ Can analyze problems and provide support in determining appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Must be eager to participate in the development of new ideas and/or improvements of existing ones. Should have good situational awareness and be mentally alert with a good capacity for evaluation, analysis and problem solving.
+ Ability to review, approve, and manage contract services. Assure conformance to established drawings, specifications, schedules, and regulatory/safety requirements
