    Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative is seeking: LTS - Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Services - Biddeford, ME – Children’s CollaborativeChildren’s Collaborative has an opening for a full-time LTS Lead Teacher position within our Early Childhood Services Preschool Program in Biddeford, Maine. Our Early Childhood Services Preschool Program focuses on early intervention for children showing signs of increased behavioral, developmental or mental health issues. Children’s Collaborative offers services for children with autism, or similar developmental disabilities learn skills to help them function successfully in home, school and community.

     

    Specific Job Details:June 9 - August 15, 2025School Description: The Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative (SMAC) hires SLPs to serve children in Maine's preschool, daycare, school, and clinic settings. Our mission is to provide speech and language services for the growing number of children in Southern Maine who need specialized support to be ready for Kindergarten thru their academic experience. So put your time and expertise to work for the benefit of your community!Brief Job Duties:The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

     

    + Prepares student Individualized Education Plans: In consultation with parents and IEP team members, drafts, develops and implements IEP’s and transition plans with measureable goals.

    + Completes all special education paperwork accurately, according to regulations, and submits them on time.

    + Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.

    + Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.

Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.2. Master's Degree in related area preferred. Experience: Successful prior pre-school teaching experience and students with special needs preferred, but not required.Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community
