Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper professional with a strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting principles, including the impact of debits and credits on various general ledger accounts. This position requires the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management: Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow statements to ensure proper financial health.

Vendor Management: Set up vendors, secure W-9s and insurance certificates, and process invoices and payments in appropriate software.

Tenant Billing: Generate and track tenant charges, including utilities, sub-meter fees, bill backs, tax contributions, insurance, and special billings. Maintain accurate tenant rent statements and apply late fees when necessary.

Accounts Receivable: Analyze tenant ledgers, track outstanding amounts, and coordinate payment resolution with tenants.

Banking & Compliance: Process bank deposits, receipts, and timely payments for mortgages, property taxes, and insurance policies.

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate cash basis and accrual basis financial statements, monthly reports, and lender-specific financial documentation.

Lease Administration: Manage tenant move-in and move-out processes, including lease abstracts and security deposit reconciliations.

General Ledger Management: Post journal entries, review ledger accounts, and prepare month-end adjustments as needed.

Bank Reconciliation: Complete monthly bank reconciliations promptly.

Budgets & CAM Reconciliation: Assist in annual property budget preparation and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.

Payroll Administration: Process payroll, accrue/deposit withholding taxes, and ensure quarterly/annual payroll forms (including W-2s)

Audit Support: Prepare workers’ compensation self-audits and year-end adjustments under Supervisor guidance.

Key Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Excel is required.

Accounting, real estate, and property management experience preferred not required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
