Are you ready to make an impact in the nonprofit space? Our client, a mission-driven organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support their strategic decision-making and financial health. As a key member of the finance team, you’ll use your expertise in financial analytics, forecasting, and budgeting to help advance the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to provide insights into organizational performance and project funding scenarios.

+ Lead the annual and quarterly budgeting processes, collaborating with department leads to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

+ Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analyses and trend assessments, for leadership and board members.

+ Perform short- and long-term forecasts to project cash flow, revenue, and expenditures related to programs and operations.

+ Provide financial analysis and reporting for restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring grant compliance.

+ Extract, clean, and analyze data using advanced Excel and financial systems to present actionable insights.

+ Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor program effectiveness and organizational health.

+ Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP and FASB regulations).

+ Collaborate with program managers, development teams, and leadership to provide financial guidance and support decision-making processes.

Requirements

+ 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the nonprofit industry or other mission-driven environments.

+ Proven experience working with restricted and unrestricted funds, grants management, and compliance reporting.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required. MBA, CPA, or CFA certification is a strong plus.

+ Proficiency in nonprofit accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks for Nonprofits, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms).

+ Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data modeling) and familiarity with financial reporting tools.

+ Knowledge of ERP systems and AI platforms is a bonus.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to draw actionable solutions from financial data.

+ Exceptional communication skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

+ Collaborative mindset to work effectively with teams across the organization.

+ Deep understanding of nonprofit accounting practices, donor regulations, and grant reporting requirements.

+ Familiarity with FASB guidelines and compliance standards specific to nonprofit organizations.
