Description

We are looking for a skilled Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to manage claims and collections processes for a regional business office. This Medical Biller/Collections Specialist is ideal for someone with expertise in billing, denials management, and regulatory compliance. Join our team and contribute to ensuring timely reimbursements while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all billing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit claims accurately and promptly to insurance payers for Skilled Nursing Facility services.

• Analyze denied claims, identify patterns or root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce future denials.

• Draft and submit compelling appeals to insurance companies for denied claims to secure appropriate reimbursements.

• Maintain detailed and compliant records for all billing activities, adhering to federal, state, and payer regulations.

• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve outstanding claims and ensure timely payments.

• Stay current with all billing and coding regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to optimize billing workflows and improve documentation processes.

• Generate detailed reports on billing trends, claims status, and resolution timelines for management review.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Allscripts and Cerner Technologies.

• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for claims processing.

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable (AR), billing, and benefit functions.

• Expertise in managing appeals and authorizations for denied claims.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.

• Ability to effectively communicate with insurance companies and cross-functional teams.
