Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller in Halfmoon, New York. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a diverse accounting team and contribute to the financial success of multiple business ventures. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining processes, enhancing strategies, and ensuring the growth and efficiency of the accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide leadership to a team of seven accounting professionals, including roles such as Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Junior Accountant.

• Oversee financial operations across multiple businesses.

• Develop and implement efficient accounting processes to support the organization's growth and ensure compliance.

• Collaborate closely with leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate and timely processing.

• Prepare and analyze budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to support decision-making.

• Coordinate with external partners for annual audits and financial reviews.

• Support ongoing development projects by providing financial oversight and maintaining cost controls.

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and best practices across all business units.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Controller or similar leadership role within accounting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including AP, AR, auditing, and budgeting.

• Ability to manage and develop teams with varying levels of experience.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills to handle complex financial operations.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
