**Pay Range:** $63.10 - $94.02 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. Summary:
The Senior Director, Digestive Diseases Operations RN is the clinical and business leader of patient care unit(s) and outpatient operations. The Senior Director oversees the management of GI practice and endoscopy operations - this includes the endoscopy operations at Rush Oak Brook Surgery Center. Additionally, the role is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures; provides direction to practice managers, nursing leaders, and performance improvement leadership to ensure safe, welcoming and effective delivery of patient care; sets goals and monitors results to assure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and in line with the goals and mission of the organization; and is responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of systems to meet goals and function efficiently and effectively. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing required.
•Master’s degree in Nursing or another field required.
•Current State of Illinois RN licensure required.
•minimum 5 years of Progressive leadership experience.
•Demonstrates advanced analytical ability and problem-solving skills
•Demonstrates the ability to work in complex organizational systems or programs
•Demonstrated executive leadership capability, relationship development, financial and analytic skills, and business acumen
•Ability to promote growth of services through business development and to develop, present, implement, manage, and maintain new, meaningful and effective programs/services
•Ability to lead and manage projects including selecting, developing, motivating and retaining people to support the clinical and financial objectives of the organization
•Evidence of a management style which emphasizes collegiality, teamwork, participation, and communication.

Physical Demands:
•Ability to move throughout the Medical Center and unit.
•Lifting or carrying objects 30 lbs. and lifting and positioning patients, with appropriate lift devices.
•Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents.

1. Accountable for quality outcomes which incorporates established methodology to drive process improvement.
2. Leads unit and/or department quality initiatives, research and/or evidence-based activities utilizing best current evidence.
3. Develops effective strategies for changing clinician and team behavior to encourage adoption of evidence-based practices.
4. Provides leadership in the design, implementation and evaluation of process improvement initiatives at the unit, department and division level.
5. Facilitates development and standard operating procedures for subspecialty programs
6. Measures and supports adoption of key nursing clinical indicators through the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, protocols, expectations, competencies, and standards of nursing practice.

7. Creates an environment which establishes a caring, therapeutic relationship with patients and families through effective communication, acknowledgement of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting.

16. Partners with the Executive Director to implement strategies for growth and service expansion

18. Critically reviews cases and events to determine the root causes and develop action plans for improvement
19. Responds to societal and technological trends issues and new developments as they pertain to nursing and healthcare.

21. Articulates standards and monitors compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, State Board of Nursing Regulations, regulatory agency standards and the policies of the organization.
22. Demonstrates information literacy skills in complex decision-making.
23. Utilizes clinical information systems to promote safety, quality and cost-effective care.
24. Strategically plans for ongoing education to acquire new knowledge and skills.
25. Responsible for cost containment through FTE control, supply management and medication inventory.
26. Management of provider scheduling requests in alignment with call/service coverage to ensure template utilization is at or better than budget

36. Collaborates with physician and administrative leaders to develop and implement practice service standards that enhance the patient experience and support organizational goals.
SYSTEMS
37. Analyzes fiscal and budgetary implications when modifying practice and operational systems.
38. Creates a human resource strategy which includes the management of performance through recruitment, rewards, recognition, counseling and disciplinary action.
39. Establishes procedures and processes to ensure administrative management of the unit.
40. Demonstrates financial accountability by managing human and capital resources in accordance with the annual budget 36. Develops innovative initiatives to enhance internal efficiency and achieve measurable and sustainable results 37.Operationalizes RUMG strategies, goals, and policies. Defines performance measures, monitors on a regular basis, and communicates results.
41. Works with the RUMG VP/AVP and Department Administrator in preparation and management of budgets, monitoring of monthly financial statements, and takes corrective actions as required.
42. Participates in provider recruitment alongside the Chief, Executive Director and Lead APP
43. Works alongside marketing to ensure goal alignment and marketing strategies
44. Coordinates with various departments, sponsors, collaborators to organize and host continuing medical education events
45. Collaborates inter-departmentally to facilitate health equity outreach initiatives in the local community
