Parker has an opportunity for an Engineering student seeking Summer Internship at its Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division in Otsego, Michigan. This student will be working with our Manufacturing Engineering Team to assist with our hydraulics research and development.

Responsibilities:

+ Implement new product code system partnering with Engineers & Operators

+ Roll-out automated assembly instruction software

+ Other duties as assigned

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering degree (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Computer)- minimum Junior classification required

+ Able to read mechanical drawings and have knowledge of fundamental Engineering principles

+ Data manipulation (Using Excel, JMP, MiniTab ) and strong sense of organization

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ Able to work effectively with others and be a participative team member

+ Experience using Engineering CAD programs like Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD as well as data analysis software

+ Work with minimal supervision and instructions regarding the scope of assignments, determine priority and order of assignments

+ Basic hydraulics understanding & programming knowledge (Java, C, C++, Python) is a plus but not required
