    Under limited supervision, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical functions in a high- volume document processing/ fast paced environment. The duties include validating, analyzing and entering data accurately from documents received from law enforcement, courts, and various public and private entities as it relates to a driver’s record. The responsibilities include a strong knowledge of policies, rules, and statutes pertaining to the issuance, renewal, revocation, and reinstatements of a Georgia driver’s license.

     

    Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for responding to management, other team members, and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner, in accordance with the core values of the Department of Driver Services. The incumbent may participate in Task Teams and Workgroups as assigned. The incumbent will be expected to maintain a positive attitude, sit for long periods of time, be accustomed to repetitive tasks, as well as being receptive to change in a fast paced- environment.

    Demonstrated competencies needed to successfully perform this job include:

    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

    • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft office software.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    • Ability to interpret federal and state laws, rules, and regulations and guidelines.

    • Ability to make decisions with limited supervision.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED AND Two years of general office or administrative experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, also possess the following:

    • Associate degree in business administration or related areas with * at least one year of experience working in a fast-paced office setting updating information on the agency computer system.
