We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to provide essential accounting support. This role ensures that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and timely, with a focus on maintaining financial records according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting accounts payable processes and managing prepaid accounts, ensuring the accuracy of balance sheets and payment postings.
Responsibilities
+ Provide necessary accounting support to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely.
+ Prepare monthly financial statements in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
+ Maintain current financial records, files, reports, analyses, and reconciliations.
+ Support Accounts Payable processing, including reporting and follow-ups.
+ Manage prepaid accounts, maintaining accuracy in balance sheets.
+ Gather electronic support for weekly payment runs.
+ Ensure daily outgoing payments are posted accurately and timely.
+ Maintain regular contact with vendor accounts to ensure accurate balances.
+ Manage and reconcile specific general ledger accounts for closing processes.
+ Complete all other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85/hr.
