The Study Coordinator plays a vital role as the liaison between the laboratory and the client, ensuring clear communication and delivery of study results. This position involves drafting and editing protocols, reviewing team documents, and formatting various forms. The work is fast-paced with high volume, offering immediate exposure and repetitive tasks to facilitate training. Responsibilities include drafting reports and protocols with quick turnaround times, often completed within 1 to 5 days.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate communication between the lab and clients to ensure clarity on study requirements.
+ Draft protocols using provided templates and format various documents.
+ Edit and review team documents, ensuring proper sentence structure and data accuracy.
+ Peer review tables and other formatted documents, adhering to the 80/20 rule of peer review.
+ Manage high volume work efficiently with quick turnaround times for reports and protocols.
+ Complete reports and protocols within 1 to 5 days as required.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related Life Science field.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a focus on formatting.
+ Experience with editing documents and protocols.
+ Customer service skills for client-facing interactions.
+ Knowledge of wet chemistry, mass spectrometry, pipetting, cell culture, and handling biological samples.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Project management experience is beneficial.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to multi-task and manage various areas and teams.
+ Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Professional demeanor for client interactions.
+ Effective time management skills to meet deadlines without micromanagement.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with lab staff, Study Directors, and other teams globally.
Work Environment
The position requires working in the office three days a week and remotely for two days. The office setting is within the Metabolism Department, which consists of approximately 100 employees including chemists, support staff, and management. The role operates during 1st shift hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
