    Job Title: Environmental Technician

     

    Pay: $28 - $35

     

    Project Duration: 6-week remediation project with opportunity to make it a 6-month Contract-to-Hire.

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Environmental Technicians to support an oil and gas operator in performing remediation tasks in the field. This position begins with an 8-week project, specifically addressing a well head equipment failure that resulted in the uncontrolled release of fluids, including oil, gas, and water. Technicians will be responsible for ground water and soil sampling, restoration, and reporting. This role supports the full environmental lifecycle of several small- to large-scale oil and gas remediation projects, each at different phases.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct soil sampling and hand auguring.

    + Install monitoring wells.

    + Oversee the removal of impacted soil and groundwater.

    + Travel to offices, project sites, and project meetings as needed.

    + Perform groundwater sampling and report writing.

    Essential Skills

    + Valid and Clean driver's license.

    + At least one year of experience with field sampling, which can include water and soil, and may come from internships.

    Work Environment

     

    Technicians will work five days a week in the field. You will be paired with a senior employee to travel to and from worksites, meeting at the office or a pre-agreed location the night before. When not in the field, you will be responsible for report writing.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
