Construction Project Manager – LAUSD High School Campus Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a high school campus project within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in K-12 educational construction, familiarity with LAUSD standards and Division of the State Architect (DSA) requirements, and a proven ability to manage complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee all phases of construction, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. • Ensure compliance with LAUSD, DSA, and other regulatory agency requirements. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and LAUSD representatives. • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes. • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to maintain schedule and budget. • Lead on-site construction teams and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. • Conduct regular site inspections and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders. • Provide timely and accurate reporting to Swinerton leadership and LAUSD officials. • Support community engagement efforts and maintain positive relationships with school staff and local stakeholders.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years on K-12 or public sector projects. • Experience working on LAUSD or other public school district projects preferred. • Strong knowledge of DSA processes and California building codes. • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project). • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • OSHA 30 certification preferred. The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
