Job Description
We are seeking skilled phlebotomists who will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, their proper entry into the computer system, preparation for analytical testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical area. The position requires adherence to the Code of Conduct and involves specified analytical testing assignments.
Responsibilities
+ Draw blood from patients and perform specimen processing in a doctor's office setting.
+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
+ Properly enter specimens into the computer system.
+ Prepare samples for analytical testing.
+ Distribute specimens to the correct analytical area.
+ Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
+ Follow the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in blood draw and venipuncture techniques.
+ Experience in specimen collection and processing.
+ Knowledge of laboratory and phlebotomy procedures.
+ Ability to provide patient care during procedures.
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of prior phlebotomy experience.
+ Comfortable working independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ GED or High School Diploma is required.
Work Environment
The position operates within a doctor's office setting, drawing blood from physicians' patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants.
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment fosters growth and opportunities, with a career ladder available for advancement after 6 months, offering a 4% pay increase. The company promotes from within, encouraging employees to progress into leadership roles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
