    Job Title: II Project Manager (DSA/K-14)Job Description

     

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage a variety of construction projects, particularly in educational facilities. The role requires a proactive individual who can handle project data review, compliance checks, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and summarize project data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    + Conduct field checks to verify construction aligns with design documents and DSA requirements.

    + Monitor project status, delivery objectives, schedule, costs, budget, and staffing, providing recommendations and solutions to the Project Director and PMO.

    + Identify risks based on field observations, propose mitigation strategies, and maintain a risk register database.

    + Coordinate with the Design Team to develop and execute construction phasing and swing space plans, tracking progress against these plans.

    + Resolve complex construction-related issues in collaboration with the Design Team, contractors, inspectors, and DSA, ensuring timely and budget-friendly solutions.

    + Oversee project close-out to ensure compliance with DA, District, and PMO requirements, including coordination of relocation activities related to FF&E and asset disposition/surplus.

    + Assist team members in managing and coordinating the planning, programming, and design phases of projects and reporting to stakeholders, District, and PMO.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in project management and construction management.

    + Experience with DSA requirements and compliance.

    + Expertise in managing design-build projects.

    + Ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a closely related field (or 4 years additional qualifying experience in lieu of education).

    + 7 years of experience in managing multiple design and construction projects, with at least 2 years in educational facility design and construction.

    Work Environment

    The position operates in a dynamic environment requiring regular field visits and interactions with construction teams and stakeholders. The role may involve overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, demanding excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage complex logistics. Professional attire is expected during client meetings and site visits.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
