    We're currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals to ensure seamless development, integration, deployment, and quality assurance of software systems. This role is responsible for analyzing and examining applications that have been modified and ensuring they will function the way that they are supposed to. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions that supports digital manufacturing initiatives.

    In your day to day activities, you’ll work with multiple customers, as a consultant and trusted partner in Sandalwood’s areas of expertise of Injury Prevention, Systems Engineering & Systems Integration. You’ll help customers innovate, solve their current struggles and guide them with the power of Sandalwood’s deeply ingrained subject matter expertise.

    + Proven experience in business communication is essential, encompassing skills such as delivering formal presentations and producing professional documents, including meeting agendas and minutes.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, execute and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts. including stress testing, utilizing test equipment like the MLP line/test conveyor to identify edge cases and try to break the system.

    + Perform manual and automated testing (unit, integration, system, regression).

    + Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools.

    + Perform MCS System testing, identify and document bugs and open issues in issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), collaborate with scrum masters/product owners for ticket submission, assist in bug replication in lab environments, and verify bug fixes with development engineers.

    + Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.

    + Actively collaborate with development and support teams, to understand current/future features and refine requirements.

    + Possess the technical ability to read and understand code, although direct code development is not required.

    + Build and deploy releases, including shell releases, using specified deployment tools like the Siemens IEM for PLC/HMI/Apps (WCS Workstation Controls System code set).

    + Produce and maintain 'How To' documentation for other teams (e.g., plant engineers, implementation) regarding deployments and replications.

     

    Deliverables

     

    + Test strategy and test plan documents.

    + Automated test suites and scripts.

    + Bug reports and test coverage metrics

    + Final QA sign-off report.

    + 'How To' documentation for system deployments and replications.

    Requirements

    + Proficiency in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright

    + Experience with JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla

    + Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

    + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

    + Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, Postman

    + Experience with CI tools for automated testing
