AWS DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of a cloud-based data warehouse application. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in AWS infrastructure, automation, and system performance. You will collaborate with development, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of critical systems.
Infrastructure Management
+ Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Redshift, S3, Lambda, IAM).
+ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
+ Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the data warehouse environment.
DevOps Practices
+ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
+ Integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
+ Automate tasks using Python, Bash, and configuration tools like Ansible or Puppet.
Monitoring & Optimization
+ Implement monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
+ Analyze system performance and optimize resource usage.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
Security & Compliance
+ Enforce security best practices (IAM, encryption, network configurations).
+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
+ Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Collaboration & Support
+ Work closely with stakeholders to understand infrastructure needs.
+ Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
+ Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support of critical systems.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years in system administration, DevOps, or related roles.
+ Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Redshift, S3, Lambda, IAM).
+ Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
+ Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
+ Scripting experience in Python and Bash.
+ Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator).
+ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container tools.
+ Knowledge of data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
+ Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
