DowGulf Coast Pipeline has an exciting job opportunity for anI&ETechnicianlocated inPlaquemine,LA.
About you and this role- What you will do in this role
The I&E Technician role will be responsible for operation and maintenance of instrument and electrical assets in the Gulf Coast Pipeline system. The successful incumbent must be a self-motivated, self-starter who is comfortable working alone as well as in a group environment. Job is physically demanding. Pipeline facilities are operated under the rules and regulations of the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources.
Responsibilities- Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
+ Maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
+ Must be able to trouble-shoot and calibrate various types of control valves.
+ Trouble-shoot, repair, configure, and calibrate various types of transmitters, sensors, and switches.
+ Support trouble-shooting and repairing PLC's.
+ Install new and/or upgraded instrumentation in the facility.
+ Route and Install tubing on process equipment.
+ Perform various weekly PM's to ensure the integrity of our equipment.
+ Performing periodic calibration of station instrumentation.
+ Performing calibration of pay meters and related equipment.
+ Developing/owning instrumentation-related operating and maintenance procedures.
+ Performing routine station checks and inspections.
+ Attendance and participation at team meetings, safety meetings, and EH&S program.
+ Complete and maintain all required training (job procedures, training modules.
+ Participating on our rotating Call Duty program is a requirement. Expect daily travel requirements normally within area of responsibility and to other areas within the team boundaries as needed. Normal work hours are 8 hour days Monday through Friday, or flexible within company and department guidelines.
+ Operate a company vehicle.
Qualifications- Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
+ A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is equivalent.
+ 2 years of experience in maintenance, process operations, and production environment.
+ Must be willing and able to report to work in the Youngsville, La area within 30 minutes during on-call duty.
+ Have a current, valid US driver’s license.
+ Willing and able to work overtime as needed.

+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Skills
+ Prior experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment.
+ Prior pipeline experience.
+ Associate’s degree in Process Technology.
+ 4+ years military experience.
+ Technical Proficiency:Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems, including control valves, transmitters, sensors, switches, and PLCs.
+ Problem-Solving:Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair various types of instrumentation and electrical assets.
+ Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and document procedures.
+ Interpersonal Skills:Good interpersonal skills to work both independently and as part of a group.
+ Multi-tasking and Time Management:Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
+ Leadership:Demonstrate leadership skills by inspiring others and leading through influence.
+ Technical Knowledge:Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and the ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Physical Requirements:
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

+ Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
+ Stand 50% of the time.
+ Walk for extended periods of time
+ Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
+ Work in tight and closed in spaces.
+ Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
