**Location:** This position will be based out of **UPMC Cole** . It offers the flexibility to work from home **1 to 2 days per week** and will require **occasional travel (3%-5%)** to **UPMC Wellsboro** and **UPMC Williamsport** .
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Interpret Financial Data:** Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
+ **Mentorship:** Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
+ **Data Analysis:** Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
+ **Advanced Reporting:** Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
+ **Statistical Analysis:** Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
+ **Transaction Management:** Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
+ **Cost Studies:** Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures.

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required.
+ Minimum of three years of related work experience required.
+ OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience.
+ Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** CPA/MBA preferred.
