Are you a seasoned accounting professional ready to elevate your impact in a cutting-edge industry? **PDS Tech Commercial** is seeking a **Senior Cost Accountant (Financial Planning & Analysis)** to support Plant 1 operations in Rockford, IL. This hybrid role puts you at the center of manufacturing operations finance, driving critical insights and accountability for one of aerospace’s most vital sectors.

_This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license._

What You’ll Do

+ Serve as the financial point of contact for Operations, SIOP, and Quality teams

+ Lead monthly and quarterly closings, including journal entries, forecasts, and variance reports

+ Drive financial planning and analysis for Plant 1 operations and CapEx

+ Develop and report on short- and long-term financial plans, forecasts, and operational metrics

+ Prepare detailed financial reports for management on factory performance and spending

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate data and resolve financial issues

+ Conduct monthly account reconciliations and ad hoc analysis

+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX documentation/testing, and government accounting standards (DCMA/DCAA/RTX audits)

What You’ll Need to Bring

Required:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

+ 7+ years of accounting or financial planning & analysis experience

+ Strong knowledge of inventory, manufacturing operations finance, and capital expenditures

+ Advanced Excel skills with experience managing and analyzing large data sets

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting across departments and leadership levels

+ Familiarity with SOX compliance and government contract requirements

Preferred:

+ Experience working in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments

+ Prior exposure to DCMA/DCAA audit protocols and CapEx financial modeling

**Pay Details:** $55.12 per hour
