    Description:** **What We're Doing

     

    Become a part of something IMPACT\-ful\! Ground Missile Defense \(GMD\) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks\.

     

    The GMD Weapon System \(GWS\) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat\.

     

    The Work

     

    This individual will be responsible for working with subject matter experts \(SMEs\) to develop new learning products for multiple engineering disciplines, evaluating and improving existing learning products, collaborating with multiple teams to identify current and future training/knowledge/skill gaps, and administering learning management systems\.

     

    The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience applying contemporary adult learning theories to create a variety of learning materials for multiple disciplines, audiences, and modalities\. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong track record of collaboration and contribute to future curriculum development\.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    • Create a wide variety of learning materials, ranging from microlearning products to self\-paced learning guides to interactive courses\.

    • Analyze and evaluate training/knowledge/skill gaps to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions\.

    • Design and develop learning products for multiple modalities, including online, in\-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats\.

    • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills\.

    • Contribute to and support GMD Engineering and Manufacturing knowledge development strategies, and their lifecycles\.

    • Maintain positive communication with internal Product Developers and Government customers

    • Create and analyze learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Training & Learning Development, Rhetoric and Communication, or related field and 5 years of applicable experience; or 3 years applicable experience with a Master’s degree\. 7 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree\.

    • Demonstrated experience with adapting and presenting learning materials for different knowledge levels

    • Experience with developing AR 350\-70 compliant content

    • Experience developing learning materials for technical disciplines

    • Experience developing technology\-based learning products

    • Experience applying adult learning theories and instructional design principles

    • Active DoD Secret clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Understanding of GMD Engineering & Manufacturing Operations organization and associated disciplines

    • Experience with process\-driven instructional design processes

    • Experience with Jira management tool

    • Previous experience in an Agile Scrum Team

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Clearance Level:** Secret

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
