Job Description:
Tangerine Press creates and sources non-fiction books, activity kits, stationery, creator tools, and posters—that kids love and are fun—for distribution through Scholastic Reading Events.
The Project Manager will plan and organize Tangerine Press projects from conception through completion in a fast-paced, team environment. The Project Manager will manage the flow of information among the designers, editors, manufacturing buyers, category management team, and other relevant departments, to ensure products meet specifications, deadlines, and product quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Work with internal & external clients to define and communicate product specifications and components
+ Coordinate timelines and oversee all project schedules
+ Liaise with relevant groups to log and track all components including proofs, prototypes, PSRs, templates, dummies, preproduction samples, advances, updates, and all schedule changes
+ With direction from the Executive Director, collaborate across teams—production, editorial, and design—to move projects forward, rework schedules, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
+ Employ strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
+ Conduct end-of-season analysis of projects and processes to further refine our product development processes
Qualifications
+ A strong track record of project management responsibilities on a variety of projects
+ Ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies
+ Ability to interact successfully with individuals and teams across functions, gaining their cooperation and support in meeting the project requirements, and in supporting departmental and corporate goals, with the flexibility to adapt to changing objectives
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Prior experience in children’s product development or publishing a plus
+ Proficient computer skills with a focus on MS Office (knowledge of Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, Access, and PowerPoint)
+ Knowledge of WorkFront or Firebrand platforms a plus
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $72,000
