What we’re looking for:
General Purpose of Job
Implement the fixed equipment mechanical integrity program in assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for inspection activities and decision making related to turnaround and maintenance repairs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
+ Support/Consult unit operations, maintenance, and engineering with maintenance/repair activities including field support, repair plans, problem solving, etc..
+ Manage planning, scheduling and execution of all inspection activities in primary area of responsibility to ensure consistent implementation of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program
+ Responsible for API evaluations on field findings (Level 1 FFS, corrosion rate calculations, repair evaluations, etc.)
+ Perform quality assurance review of contractor reports to ensure acceptance standards are met. Review contract inspector recommendations and write NCR/SAP notifications to meet inspection procedures..
+ Plan and schedule and coordinate contract inspection activities to meet RBI inspection plans and due dates.
+ Turnaround scope development, execution, and close out for primary area of responsibility. .
+ Maintains data quality in RBI and inspection documentation (history, inspection results, equipment data and drawings) in electronic files.
+ Coordinate and oversee specialty inspection services (radiography, scanning, advanced nde, etc.) as required
+ Coordinate and schedule State Boiler inspections.
+ Participate on fixed equipment Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations.
+ Embrace continuing education by identifying training needs, budgets, schedules and attending training.
+ Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).
+ Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
+ Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.
+ Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
+ Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
Education / Experience / Skills Requirements
List any specific education and experience requirements:
+ High school diploma or equiv and 10 years in inspection industry **preferred** , minimum of 5 years as API Inspector and relevant inspection related activities **required.** Training or familiarity with API 580 Risk Based Inspection is preferred.
Specific Skills and Knowledge
+ Must have a level of proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs
+ Must have a deep and complete understanding of applicable ASME, API and OSHA codes and standards.
+ Have a thorough understanding of the RBI concepts and the functional use of risk based inspection software.
+ Working knowledge of API 571 Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Refining Industry, API 580 Risk Based Inspection, API 581 Risk Based Inspection Technology and other inspection related codes.
