The NIKE Global Tax team plays a key role in developing and executing strategic growth opportunities while bring value to the company. To achieve winning results, you will collaborate within NIKE’s matrixed organization including Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Customs and external advisors.

You have broad tax experience with exposure to various tax disciplines while also possessing good business acumen. You will have project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in this rapidly changing economic environment. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Reporting to the Global Tax Director – Tax Planning and Transfer Pricing, your primary responsibilities include:
+ Perform research and analysis to lead federal, state, local, and international tax planning strategies.
+ Collaborate with Geography Tax teams to drive local country tax optimization strategies, structures, and entity rationalization.
+ Assist Treasury with evaluating funding mix and repatriation strategies.
+ Assist with developing global transfer pricing strategies including supply chain structure, DEMPE, management/service charges, and IP/royalty analysis.
+ Research and document federal, state, local and international tax law changes and rulings affecting business operations including Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules.
+ Collaborate with Tax External Reporting to analyze US GAAP and local statutory income tax accounting aspects of tax planning strategies and tax controversy (FIN 48) analysis.
+ Coordinate with Tax Compliance team to understand compliance requirements are met and positions have necessary support for compliance.
+ Coordinate with the Tax Controversy team to develop audit defense strategies and assist with audit requests.
+ Manage and coordinate with outside tax advisors (accounting and tax counsel) to drive tax planning, structuring, and compliance initiatives.
+ Engage with external auditors as needed related to financial audit procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred.
+ 8+ years of experience leading or supporting US Corporate Tax at a large multinational company or public accounting firm.
+ Experience in US Taxation of International operations and transfer pricing.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SAP and SharePoint systems.
+ Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively communicate issues/risks and opportunities.
+ Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and managing multiple, competing priorities and requests, while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detail.
+ Proven track record in developing collaborative cross-functional relationships.
+ Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand!
