Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Director Critical Care Services, the Departmental Secretary performs administrative support services for all Critical Care Units. This individual will support the clerical functions. Responsible for payroll and knowledgeable of Meditech and other basic computer programs used in the department.

What you will do in this role:

• Accountable for maintaining and improving own job knowledge and skills. Supports the hospital’s mission, goals, and objectives.

• Works closely with the Managers of the Critical Care Departments and Critical Care staff.

• Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting multiple staffing issues.

• Prepares annual and initial competency packets, giving staff plenty of time to complete before due date.

• Communicates effectively with staff, as well as with other departments.

What qualifications you will need:
