Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Bronx, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to budgetary analysis, financial reporting, and long-term capital planning for diverse projects. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial systems, data analysis, and reporting to support organizational goals and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed budget analysis for renovation and plant fund projects, comparing actual costs with projections and updating relevant spreadsheets.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on plant fund, grant, and renovation projects, highlighting budgets, commitments, and actual expenditures.
• Conduct monthly general ledger analysis for organizational and plant fund accounts.
• Evaluate overtime expenditures and generate variance reports by comparing payroll data, work order systems, and approved requests.
• Manage and update the long-range capital plan database, projecting costs for capital improvements over a 20-year period.
• Assist in the preparation of annual and mid-year budgets by analyzing current fiscal expenditures and planning future spending.
• Create requisitions and coordinate with procurement teams, safety departments, and vendors to ensure smooth processing.
• Generate departmental chargeback reports using organizational work order systems.
• Support additional financial tasks and projects as assigned to meet departmental needs. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with Crystal Reports for generating and analyzing data.
• Strong knowledge of auditing processes and budget management.
• Expertise in capital planning and long-term financial forecasting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizations.
• Proven ability to perform detailed financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
