Description We are looking for an experienced IS Technical Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will focus on designing, developing, integrating, and supporting the business banking loan application, ensuring its functionality aligns with organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects, collaborate across teams, and mentor less experienced staff while staying at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, analyze, and develop enhancements for the business banking loan application to improve functionality and performance.

• Lead medium to large-scale projects that influence multiple applications and technologies within the organization.

• Collaborate with analysts to gather requirements, create technical designs, develop solutions, and oversee testing, debugging, and implementation.

• Independently manage complex assignments and contribute effectively in team environments.

• Coordinate with external vendor teams to ensure seamless integration with internal applications.

• Provide accurate development estimates based on the scope and complexity of projects.

• Stay updated on new systems, applications, technologies, and business domains to enhance technical expertise.

• Monitor industry trends, standards, and practices to implement best practices within the organization.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain application reliability and performance.

• Mentor and train less experienced staff to build team capabilities and knowledge. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience developing multi-tier applications using Java, J2EE, and JavaScript.

• Proficient in Web Services, Powershell, C development, and batch processing systems such as Zena.

• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory and Windows Server.

• Demonstrated ability to work in multi-platform environments and manage both development and support roles.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven experience working on projects involving diverse business segments and cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and the ability to work effectively with IT, vendor, and business teams. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
