Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant specializing in billing operations to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate billing, resolve payment discrepancies, and contribute to the improvement of financial processes. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile invoices to ensure accuracy and timely completion of billing operations.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to address billing inquiries, payment issues, and account adjustments.

• Maintain and review billing documentation to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing scalable billing workflows.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Support, and Product teams to align billing processes with client requirements and system updates.

• Support audits, special projects, and client-specific billing needs as required.

• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks and Stripe to manage billing tasks and streamline operations.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger entries related to billing activities.

• Contribute to month-end close processes by preparing journal entries and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, finance, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail, especially when managing repetitive or high-volume tasks.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Proficiency in tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, and collaboration platforms like Slack or ticketing systems.

• Experience with financial tools such as QuickBooks, Stripe, NetSuite, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and cross-functional dependencies.

• A proactive and self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienc
