    Description

    Are you a detail-oriented and driven professional looking to launch or grow your accounting career? Robert Half is currently seeking a Junior Accountant for opportunities with our clients in the San Diego, CA area. This is an excellent role for an ambitious accounting professional eager to gain hands-on experience and advance in the field.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

    + Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.

    + Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a regular basis.

    + Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including assisting with financial statement preparation.

    + Track and maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.

    + Compile and organize financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    + Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.

    + Assist in audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.

    + Perform ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + Up to 2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships included).

    + Familiarity with GAAP and basic accounting principles.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus.

    + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

    + Effective communication skills—both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-driven environment.

    + Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
