    Description

    Robert Half is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our clients in the vibrant San Diego, CA area. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your experience and expertise in bookkeeping to companies looking for critical support in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Handle day-to-day bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management.

    + Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

    + Prepare and process journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records.

    + Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.

    + Support payroll processing and related transactions.

    + Monitor compliance with relevant reporting and regulatory requirements.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to investigate financial discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

    + Perform ad-hoc accounting and bookkeeping projects as needed.

    Requirements

    + Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.

    + Strong understanding of financial principles, bookkeeping practices, and general ledger functions.

    + Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required).
