Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in financial analysis, reconciliations, and providing technical expertise to team members. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions while mentoring and guiding less experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making.

• Review and analyze monthly results for the company and its divisions to ensure accuracy.

• Reconcile accounts such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and project-related entries to the general ledger.

• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members to enhance their skills.

• Offer advanced technical advice on complex accounting matters to the accounting staff.

• Oversee and assist with the supervision of team members working on significant projects.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards through auditing and monitoring processes.

• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned to support operational goals. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll management, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Strong background in financial analysis and auditing practices.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff effectively.

• Solid computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and tools.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with accounting functions in a meticulous and organized environment.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes.
