    Description

    We are looking for a skilled and driven Manager of Corporate Accounting & Acquisitions to lead our accounting operations and support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M& A). This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for contributing to organizational growth. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, this position offers a hybrid work model and the chance to collaborate with senior leadership in a dynamic and growing company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    • Manage all General Ledger accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

    • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and high performance.

    • Implement and enhance accounting systems, ensuring robust internal controls and efficient workflows.

    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses on potential acquisition targets, evaluating performance, synergies, and risks.

    • Lead due diligence efforts during acquisition processes, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors.

    • Facilitate the seamless integration of newly acquired entities into the corporate accounting framework.

    • Partner with senior leadership to assess the financial impact of M& A opportunities and support strategic decision-making.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; active CPA license preferred.

     

    • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including managing teams and overseeing General Ledger operations.

    • Demonstrated expertise in M& A processes, including due diligence, integration, and financial analysis.

    • Industry experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or other detail-oriented fields is highly desirable.

    • Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint or similar accounting systems is required.

    • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage complex financial models.

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentorship and development.

    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the capability to navigate complex scenarios.
