Description
We’re a privately held company with five years of steady growth and a strong foundation in our industry. As we continue to scale, we’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Controller to help strengthen and formalize our financial operations. This role will be critical in ensuring our financial systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned with our long-term business goals. This individual will be instrumental in reviewing and refining our existing financial records to ensure consistency and clarity, and will establish best practices moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review and reconcile historical financial data to ensure accuracy and alignment with best practices
+ Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of all transactions
+ Monitor and manage daily banking activity and cash flow
+ Oversee and process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
+ Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including P& L reports
+ Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
+ Conduct financial and operational data analysis to support strategic decision-making
+ Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance
+ Support tax and audit preparation by maintaining clean, organized records
+ Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls
Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in core accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.
• Experience with budget creation, monitoring, and forecasting processes.
• Skilled in bank account reconciliation and forensic accounting methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage payroll across multiple states while adhering to regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
