• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description

    We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and optimize financial processes within our organization in Solano County, California. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the organization's overall financial health. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems, financial reporting, and team collaboration.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and consolidations for the parent company.

    • Manage customer billing processes, record deposits, and ensure accurate tracking of airplane sales revenue and account balances.

    • Perform bank reconciliations and post all related transactions in a timely manner.

    • Audit and process employee expense reports using the travel expense system.

    • Conduct detailed reconciliations and analyses of balance sheet accounts within assigned areas of responsibility.

    • Prepare comprehensive schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation for year-end audits.

    • Collaborate with external tax professionals and government agencies to ensure the accurate and timely filing of direct and indirect taxes.

    • Act as a financial liaison, fostering collaboration with various departments across the organization.

    • Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for cross-functional teams and management as needed.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms, including Dynamics 365 Business Central and Finance & Operations.

    • Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general accounting functions.

    • Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively.

    • Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and cost accounting principles.

    • Experience with auditing processes and financial reporting.

    • Ability to manage billing functions and customer account balances efficiently.

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
