Sue Sumrell is recruiting for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while supporting sustainable initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Create and post journal entries to support timely financial reporting.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Accounts payable entries for projects under construction.

• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes.

• Monitor cash flow and assist in managing company budgets.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP principles.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

• Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams.

• Experience with accounting software and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
