The company handles research, clinical development, sales, marketing, medical affairs, supply chain,and business development functions. The Associate Director of Market Access Services will be a key contributor to a team dedicated to the development and implementation of patient and provider support services for MTPA’s current and future launch brands. This role will lead the design, implementation, and daily management of MTPA’s HUB services, Copay Assistance support, Free Trial Voucher Program, and PAP.
This role will report directly to the Director of Trade & Market Access Strategy and be responsible for the daily oversight of all patient access and support services as well as be a liaison between market access and sales leadership on HUB, commercial copay, and provider network performance.
Responsibilities
+ Developing effective relationships with key MTPA cross functional partners including brand marketing, patient access and field reimbursement, finance, business analytics, sales, legal, compliance, as well as external vendors.
+ Leading the design and build of outsourced HUB and partnering with third party vendors to facilitate patient access
+ Working closely with cross functional stakeholders to implement program improvements and SOPs.
+ Integrate strong understanding of technology-enabled solutions to continuously improve patient and provider support efforts
+ Collaborate with brand strategy teams to design support programs to meet the needs of patients and caregivers
+ Manage multiple vendor relationships to drive effectiveness and efficiencies across MTPA’s patient support platform
+ Work closely with Channel Partners, Patient Services, Market Access, and Field teams to educate on reimbursement and compliant communication.
+ Act as a conduit for the day-to-day operational issues between the HUB & Commercial Copay Vendor and the Trade Operations team to ensure optimum performance and communication between all entities and various Specialty Pharmacies
+ Lead and monitor day to day operations of MTPA’s patient access support services to ensure the highest quality of support programs and accountability/adherence to contractual requirements.
+ Collaborate with a high functioning team of individual contributors dedicated to various Trade-related roles within MTPA’s market Access team and provide ongoing management and development of the team to effectively support MTPA’s short, mid, and long range organizational goals.
Qualifications
+ A solid track record of working directly with key customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to identify new ways of addressing patient access and support challenges to create value for the manufacturer, the patient and their provider
+ Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in sales, marketing and/or relevant healthcare related area.
+ 7+ years of demonstrated experience and proven success in Biotech/Pharmaceutical, Patient Support, or Specialty Pharmacy industries managing vendor and/or client relationships and daily operations focused on deliverables and KPIs
+ Understanding of Specialty Distribution and Specialty Pharmacy marketplace preferred
+ Oral and infused/Buy & Bill experience preferred.
+ Experience with Specialty Pharmacy data analytics
+ In-depth understanding of the functions and procedures of patient support hubs and other patient support offerings typically made available by manufacturers to assist patients trying to access therapy
+ Strong understanding of payer market and payer dynamics, both commercial and government funded and experience in different access and reimbursement models, including Medicare Parts B and D, Medicare Advantage (e.g., Medicare Coverage Determinations (NCDs, LCDs and Coverage Articles), ASP pricing
+ In-depth understanding of Health Care Reform, Medical Policy and the legislative arena
+ Must be able to travel 25-30%.
+ Outstanding customer relationships, interpersonal and communication skills with the established ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally.
+ Highly effective presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent organizational skills

The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $230,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
