Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Control Planner to create and manage production schedules and capacity plans. This role involves publishing production schedules and requirements, handling all phases of the ERP system, and ensuring compliance with order policies based on contract specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Create production schedules and capacity plans.
+ Publish production schedules and requirements.
+ Handle all phases of the ERP system, including ordering and releasing materials.
+ Reschedule as needed to ensure compliance with order policies.
+ Check the status of released jobs, including tooling and experimental jobs.
+ Update charts on parts status and codes as applicable.
+ Communicate with the Manufacturing Manager regarding order schedules and delays.
+ Verify delivery status by contacting vendors to ensure on-time delivery schedules.
+ Develop priority lists for vendors and milestone charts for customers with delayed delivery schedules.
+ Verify inventory levels and reschedule deliveries to maintain required inventory levels.
+ Review contracts for performance and schedules.
+ Communicate with customers to provide updates on order status and delays.
+ Establish MRP parameters, including lot size, minimum quantity, and safety stock.
+ Manage various internal reports.
+ Follow the department's continuous improvement plan in day-to-day work.
+ Prepare reports, including backlog reporting and customer status.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years experience within the supply chain, with 2+ years specifically in production planning/scheduling.
+ Knowledge of ERP systems, without needing a specific system.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to navigate large spreadsheets.
+ ITAR compliance.
+ Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
+ Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ General manufacturing experience is acceptable, no aerospace experience needed but preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
