    Job Title: Senior Cost Accountant

    Job Description

    This position is for a Financial Planning & Analysis professional specializing in cost accounting. The role is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be onsite 2 days per week. You will be supporting manufacturing operations with financial reporting, managing large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel, analyzing operations results, and communicating concerns and issues to management. The position requires interaction with multiple functional areas, primarily Operations, Quality, and SIOP, and all levels of management, demanding strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as the operations point of contact for finance matters, supporting operations management including SIOP and Quality.

    + Execute the monthly and quarterly financial closing process, including preparing journal entries, forecasts, and variance explanations.

    + Conduct all financial planning and analysis activities for operations, developing short- and long-term financial plans, forecasts, and operational metrics.

    + Manage all financial planning and analysis activities for Capital Expenditures for Plant 1 operations, including short- and long-term financial plans and forecasts.

    + Prepare reports for management on various factory metrics and certain operations spend categories.

    + Collaborate with a cross-functional team to provide timely and accurate financial data that drives business decisions and resolves issues.

    + Prepare monthly account reconciliations.

    + Perform ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as requested by management.

    + Ensure 100% compliance with all financial and business controls and adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, including documentation and testing of business controls, government accounting requirements, and internal audits.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong ability to extract and manage large amounts of data from centralized systems using Microsoft Excel.

    + Proficient in analyzing operations results from various data sources and communicating concerns and issues to management.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

    + 7+ years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and financial planning.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in Inventory Management.

    + Supporting Manufacturing Operations.

    + CapEx knowledge.

    Work Environment

    The position is located in Rockford and follows a hybrid model, requiring the candidate to be onsite 2 days per week. This role does not involve direct supervision.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.12 - $55.12/hr.
