HIMS Data Analyst / Quality Auditor – HIMS Quality Audits Reporting

**Work location:** 612 East Lamar Blvd, Arlington TX 76028
Remote
**Work hours:** Full Time Days (Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need
Education
• Associate's Degree Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field (Preferred)
Experience
• 1 Year Experience in data analysis and reporting (Required) and
• 1 Year Experience in a health care environment with and EMR (Preferred)
• Epic Cogito experience a plus
Licenses and Certifications
• RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician (Preferred) Or
• RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator (Preferred)
What You Will Do
• Provide data analysis and auditing support for division functions.
• Develop and maintain data queries and reports to provide meaningful and actionable data/information to internal and external requesters.
• Run/develop reports utilizing discrete data and conducts analysis for purpose of measuring productivity and identifying trends/patterns that represent opportunities for improvement and increase operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor and report standards outlined for division operations.
• Utilize data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, and Access.
• Monitor and manage data activities that support HIM operations to include department and employee performance.
• Prepare reports for committee meetings (Medical Records, Clinical Improvement, Continuum of Care, etc.) at the entity and system level.
• Maintain data for monthly/quarterly/yearly statistics and reports for leadership.
• Establish and maintain tools used for creating charts, graphs, and operational oversight reports.
• Develop auditing tools and definitions for consistent collection of data for accurate reporting.
• Audit and confirm accuracy of health record analysis to ensure adherence to requirements by THR’s Policies and Procedures, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and external regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission, Center for Medicaid and Medicare, Texas Administrative Code, etc.
• Audit quality, accuracy and effectiveness of physician suspension process.
• Track and trend physician compliance and provides reports to leadership.
• Audits work product of staff to ensure quality metrics are met and provides timely feedback to support consistent outcomes.
• Provide prompt customer service with internal and external customers.
• Develop presentations and training/communications materials.
• Make recommendations on process improvements based on research of industry best practices.
• Manage process improvement initiatives, documenting requirements and working with associated business units to deliver.
• Interacts with multidisciplinary clinical staff, HIM staff and administrative staff.
• Assist leadership in monitoring CMS, TAC and TJC regulatory requirements and makes recommendations in updating organizational policies and processes to facilitate organizational compliance.
• Make recommendations to leadership and assist in implementation and providing feedback.
