Requirements:
Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) Career Services (CS) position. The yearly rate of pay is $48,000 - $54,225 based on experience.
Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
This position requires up to 5% travel.

Work at FWC is cross-functional meaning duties may cross division/office lines. The Commission expects employees to function across FWC’s organizational structure by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through work on teams or as directed.
Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
Overview:
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s mission is to manage fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people. The head of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is the commission, comprised of seven commissioners, appointed by the governor and subject to confirmation by the Senate. The commission has the authority to exercise the executive and regulatory powers delegated to FWC through Article IV, Section 9 of the Florida Constitution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Develops and supports computer system solutions using functionality such as workflows, scripting, and integration between computer systems. Agency-wide applications should be developed around the core concepts of automation, workflow & process improvement, enterprise content/document management, and collaboration.
+ Perform data conversions and migration of legacy systems.
+ Coordinates and ensures the standard implementation of best practices, polices, procedures, and system operations with personnel.
+ Gathers requirements, computer systems programming documentation and test plans are completed to accurately reflect customer needs.
+ Provides ongoing customer support to the content managers to enhance computer systems development. Analyzes and resolves software problems related to the system platforms.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of structured application design; PC operating systems; principles, practices, and techniques of database design and implementation; distributed database development and implementation; interface design principles and practices.
+ Ability to process information logically; plan, prepare, and implement programs to solve scientific, mathematical, or technical problems; analyze and interpret computer program data; identify and define user needs; prepare program specifications; perform mathematical calculations.
+ Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; communicate technical information verbally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
+ Ability to work with people having varied backgrounds, knowledge, and system requirements.
+ Ability to work with system architects and programmers to create computer systems.
+ Knowledge of Document Management software (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint, etc.) or the ability to learn how to use it.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 and Power Platform or the ability to learn how to use it.
+ Knowledge of application development using Microsoft technologies.
+ Ability to analyze processes and workflows to design efficient computer-based solutions.
+ Ability to evaluate and resolve computer application and system problems.
+ Ability to prepare computer program specifications, test plans, and create test data scenarios.
+ Good written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
