CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Paralegal I.

_candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY_
**Pay Rate:** Based on experience
**Work Hours:** M–F, 8:00am–5:00pm
**Education:** Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Description
This position supports a Patent Paralegal role within the Law Department and contributes to the operational excellence of the Intellectual Property (IP) Department. The Paralegal I will provide legal assistance and perform a variety of legal-related tasks, including document preparation, review, docket management, research, and cross-functional coordination.
Requirements:
+ Minimum of an Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience
+ Demonstrated strong attention to detail (must be reflected on resume or evident in interview)
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
+ Ability to handle confidential documents and exercise sound judgment
+ Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines with high-quality, accurate work
Required Qualifications
_Education:_
+ Associate’s Degree or equivalent education required
+ 2-year college degree required
+ 4-year college degree preferred
_Qualifications:_
+ 1+ years of relevant work experience
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
+ Experience handling legal documentation and managing dockets
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Paralegal certification is a plus
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Support patent attorneys by managing IP-related data and documents
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external law firms to prepare and submit patent filings to the USPTO and other global patent offices
+ Draft assignments, declarations, and other legal templates for attorney review
+ Ensure proper formatting and compliance of patent submissions
+ Prepare and assist with attorney docket management and reporting
