SUMMARY
Performs functions to ensure timely and quality delivery to all customers for preproduction orders. Communicates and, when necessary, negotiates delivery timing with customer and internal, based upon part availability. Performs functions to maintain control of material management to the expected given levels. Raw material and component ordering, as well as forecasting activities. Ensures all paperwork and documentation completed for shipment. Packages product and stages product for shipment. Ensures proper legal compliance with any hazardous labeling, packing and shipment requirements. Keeps next level of management informed of any problems and/or issues by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Processes all preproduction orders for all customers and TTC via hard copy, EDI, EPNS, or any other customer system. Processing includes:
+ Receipt of order
+ Investigating availability of parts
+ Negotiate with customer with planned ship date
+ Develop and distribute Delivery Schedule Plan
+ Follow up on part availability
+ Coordinate with engineering, project manager, and QE on changes in plan
+ Generates KANBANS and shipping plan
+ Gather and package orders
+ Communicate with customer and internal on shipping results
Plans and establishes preproduction forecast for a defined segment of a manufacturing operation of moderate to high diversification. Planning includes:
+ Monitors material inventories, tracks progress of material receipt, and reviews factors that affect schedules
+ Makes necessary modifications to schedules as approved by higher level employee
+ Issues orders to appropriate departments and suppliers when revisions are made to schedule
+ Works directly with supplier and internal purchasing to resolve delivery problems
+ Uses customer forecast and orders to determine material need and timing
+ Monitors inventory levels to minimum/maximum requirements
Processes drawings and ECI. Processing includes:
+ Receipt of ECI and drawings from TG Japan, TGNA, and customer
+ Organize and very duplicate documents
+ Enter documents into JDE system
+ Distribute documents to necessary departments
+ Follow up on ECI implementation
+ Utilize all customer and internal systems to process and receive information
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook recommended, but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school diploma plus specialized training equal to two years of college and 3-5 years of experience.
Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge preferred.
