    Work Management Superintendent - Operations

     

    The Operations Work Management team is seeking a **Work Management Superintendent** to provide technical leadership to a team of Planner Analysts, Construction Coordinators, and Field Support Specialists. In this leadership role, you will demonstrate the ability to inspire teams, analyze complex data, and apply critical thinking to help ensure work management is highly efficient for supported work groups.

    In this position, you will:

    + Lead a team of direct and indirect reports in the areas of:

    + Planning and scheduling of maintenance, construction, and operations activities

    + Construction coordination, which may include but is not limited to permitting, locating, and restoration activities

    + Field support with various documentation, invoicing, and general support activities

    + Develop and implement work management best practices across all classifications and coordinate the roll-out of these practices with stakeholder groups

    + Collaborate with department leadership and key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic work management goals, plans, programs, and initiatives

    + Ensure accountability for the entire work management cycle for all work that is planned and scheduled for supported work groups

    + Collaborate with the Analyst Supervisor to benchmark, analyze, and measure the effectiveness of existing processes to develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable work management process improvements

    + Collaborate with the Analyst Supervisor to prepare a variety of specialized financial, forecasting, and system analysis reports, expertly delivering and presenting information to key stakeholders

    + Provide leadership, develop performance plans, direct work, coach staff, and evaluate performance; instill accountability among all direct reports

    + Comply with all safety and health programs in support of an incident and injury-free workplace

    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

    + A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Construction, Engineering, Management, or a closely related field is preferred

    + A minimum of four years of leadership/supervisory experience preferred, including demonstrated success in leading work management and process improvement initiatives

    + Experience in one of the following areas is required

    + Water and wastewater work management

    + Gas and electric distribution and transmission work management

    + Plant work management

    + An analytical thinker and respected leader who has the credibility to garner support for process changes

    + Strong data analysis, relationship-building, communication, and project management skills

    + Power BI, Maximo, and GIS experience are highly preferred
