    Description

    SAIC is seeking a rising college junior or senior to join our SAIC’s Software Development program for the summer of 2025.the intern will directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Digital Transformation and Maintenance Modernization (DTAMM) program. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is located in El Segundo, California.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Will design, develop and maintains systems from science to operations with an empowered cross functional team

    + Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve technical matters

    + Review and assess requirements,

    + Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK.

    Areas of Technical Interest / Experience:

    + Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java)

    + Web development (JScript, html).

    + Familiarity with Agile Methodologies

    + Familiarity with configuration management tool

    + Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).

    + Gitlab/Git Command Line.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    + High School and one year or more of college coursework in a technical field

    Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

    + Two (2) or more years of college course work.

    + Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in a STEM related degree field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Cyber Security or Data Science

    Desired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

    + Previous work with a government customer.
