**Location:** Fremont, NE
**Schedule:** Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | On-Call
**Starting Pay:** $27.86/hour to start (w/ advancement opportunities)

As a Maintenance Technician, your mechanical skills and problem-solving mindset will help ensure our operations stay safe, efficient, and productive.

What You’ll Do – Core Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
+ Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production and utility equipment.
+ Track inventory items and maintain warehouse.
+ Be proactive to find problems before they become an issue
+ Suggest new PM’s for equipment
+ Reduce downtime by addressing mechanical issues promptly and efficiently.
Equipment Installation & Upgrades
+ Install, align, and maintain motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and pumps.
+ Suggest and promote new equipment installations
+ Work directly with contractors on new installs or major repairs.
+ Attend routine planning meetings for new projects.
+ Support system upgrades and plant improvements that boost reliability and safety.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
+ Diagnose mechanical and pneumatic issues using diagnostic tools and hands-on inspection.
+ Work with electricians to find and repair electrical issues.
+ Attend root cause failure analysis meetins.
+ Work with operations staff to troubleshoot process problems
+ Pinpoint root causes and implement long-term, reliable solutions.
Fabrication & Welding
+ Fabricate replacement parts and structural components using shop tools and welding equipment.
+ Weld and cut carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
+ Cut, thread and assemble piping.
+ Fabricate conveyor transitions.
+ Modify or enhance machinery as needed to support plant operations.
Documentation & Communication
+ Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
+ Communicate repair status, safety concerns, and part needs with supervisors and team members.
Safety & Compliance
+ Follow ADM’s safety standards, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and PPE protocols.
+ Contribute to ADM’s zero-injury safety culture by taking proactive steps to identify and mitigate hazards.
The Tools/Equipment You’ll Use
You may work with and maintain equipment such as:
+ **Conveyors, grinders, and combo dumpers**
+ **Pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and piping**
+ **Mechanical drives, gearboxes, lubrication systems**
+ **Forklifts, hoists, welding tools, hand and power tools**
+ **Packaging machines, slicers, scales, and VFDs**
+ **PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)** — exposure/interest a plus!
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications:
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and prior industrial maintenance experience.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs., work at heights or in confined spaces, and operate tools and machinery.
+ Availability for overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
+ High school diploma or GED preferred.
+ Must pass background check.
Preferred Experience:
+ Welding, fabrication, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of valve types and applications.
+ Pump repair and operation.
+ Reach and understand blue prints and P&ID
+ Familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems.
+ 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
+ Experience in Agri-processing, food manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
+ Extensive knowledge of bearing installation and maintenance.
+ Willingness to complete company-sponsored trade school or technical training.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
